Udhiyah Rulings1 min read

The udhiyah is what is slaughtered from grazing livestock (camels, cattle, and sheep) during the days of Eid al-Adha, seeking closeness to Allah the Exalted. It is among the rites of Islam; Allah the Exalted said: ﴿فصلِّ لربك وانحر﴾. It is a revival of the practice (sunnah) of the Prophet of Allah Ibrahim, peace be upon him, and in it is glorification of Allah, gratitude for His blessings, and generosity toward one's family and the poor.
