Supplication of the Sick Person Who Has Despaired of Life

اللهم اغفر لي، وارحمني، وألحقني بالرفيق الأعلى.

O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, and join me with the Highest Companion (in Paradise).

جعل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عند موته يدخل يديه في الماء فيمسح بهما وجهه، ويقول: لا إله إلا الله إن للموت سكرات.

At the time of his death, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) began to put his hands into water and wipe his face with them, saying: There is no god but Allah; indeed death has its agonies.

لا إله إلا الله والله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله وحده، لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له، لا إله إلا الله له الملك وله الحمد، لا إله إلا الله ولا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله.

There is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Most Great; there is no god but Allah alone; there is no god but Allah alone, with no partner; there is no god but Allah, His is the dominion and His is the praise; there is no god but Allah, and there is no might nor power except by Allah.
